Surgery requiring a sitting position can easily be accomplished on the standard Shampaine 4900 Table. Because the back section raises a full 90 degrees, additional sitting accessories are not required. Utilizing the readily accessible manual override allows micro movements of the table as needed.

By placing the patient in a modified Fowler position and utilizing the longitudinal slide, a mattress height of 22 inches can be obtained providing excellent access for the surgeon and a microscope. During traditional Obstetrical, Gynecological or Cysto Retrograde procedures on the Shampaine 4900 Table, the patient may be placed over the primary perineal cut-out providing the surgeon with good access to the site.

For Urological procedures requiring unobstructed C-Arm usage, the Shampaine 4900 Table provides a standard alternate perineal cut-out. When utilized with the patient leg transfer board the patient can be positioned over the cut-out and then into lithotomy eliminating the need to "pull the patient" on the table. The longitudinal slide feature minimizes the anesthesia's reach to the patient. By utilizing the cassette tunnel radiographs up to 14" x 17" can be obtained without costly table accessories. An optional footswitch for the surgeon's use is synchronized to either end without reprogramming. For optimum versatility a flexible tray with disposable bag or a sterilizable rigid tray system is available.
