The OR Tables You Helped Design

No other OR table has ever had the range of features you'll find in the Radi-Op Series.  That's because we asked you - the professionals who work in ORs daily - what characteristics the ideal OR table would have.  When you told us, we listened.  The result?  The Radi-Op Series of OR tables.  Manual (the 1400), air-powered (the 1500) or electric (the 1500E) - the choice is yours.  Here are a few of their capabilities:.

The Radi-Ops are the only tables on the market with longitudinal slide - the table top can be moved toward the head or foot end for greatly increased C-Arm and surgical team access to the patient.

Their Radio-Translucent tops allows X-Ray and C-Arm examination right through the table. No having to move the patient off of the table; no lugging around heavy special X-Ray tops.

The underside of the Radi-Ops are channeled from head to foot to accommodate an X-Ray cassette.  The cassette can be inserted at either end and pushed the entire length of the table.

Because the backrest and leg section elevate 90°, the table will assume the sitting position at either end.  The head section is completely interchangeable.  And the leg section also folds down and under 92° - completely out of the way.  Once again, this dramatically increases OR team access.

Controls rotate 180° side to side so they're always convenient but never in the way.

The Radi-Ops feature all stainless steel construction, and a sealed hydraulic system.

They also offer a 4-inch kidney elevator in addition to normal flex position.

The Radi-Ops are full conductive in accordance with national guidelines.  They also comply with DHHS radiation standards.

Radi-Op 1400
(Manual)

The Model 1400 is a full-function, major surgical table.  The table top is comprised of two articulated sections, back and leg, which are pivoted on a fixed seat section.  The seat section carries an extendable kidney elevator.  The back and leg sections are fitted with a headrest and foot extension.  These attachments are removable and interchangeable.  A cassette tunnel, 1 1/8" x 19", is incorporated in each of the five table top sections, allowing the positioning of X-Ray cassettes up to 14" x 17" along the longitudinal axis of the table.  A cassette tray with removable handle extensions is provided for this purpose.  The top surfaces of the head, back, seat, and leg sections are fabricated from radiolucent, conductive panels which conform to the requirements of the Radiation Control for Health and Safety Act of 1968 (21 CFR subchapter J).  All table positioning is accomplished hydraulically through a manually operated foot pump.  All table movement with the exception of lowering is controlled from a single cluster mounted on the end of a control arm.  The arm is articulated on two pivots, allowing 180° rotation in the horizontal plane, and 45° from level downward in the vertical plane.

Table movement functions which position the entire table top are as follows:

Independent table top functions are as follows:

The table top surface is 19 3/4" wide, 21 3/4" wide including 3/8" x 1 1/8" siderails.  It is 72" long, 86" long with removable leg extension.

All exposed exterior surfaces of the table are stainless steel or are covered with stainless steel fairings.

The table is supplied with one set of conductive, (UL listed) flame retardant radiolucent pads, conductive casters and floor feet in accordance with the requirements of NFPA 56A.  An additional standard accessory provided with the table is a leg extension and pad of aluminum construction.  Operating, service and parts manual will be supplied by the manufacturer.  A full range of operating table accessories are available for use with this table.

Radi-Op 1500
(Air Powered)

The Model 1500 is identical to the Model 1400 in all respects with the exception of the provision of an air motor driven pump for powered operation.  The air motor requires dry air or nitrogen supplied from 55 to 125 psi at a minimum delivery rate of 12 cfm.  Table positioning is controllable by varying the amount the power pedal is depressed.  Full manual pump back-up is provided.

Radi-Op 1500E
(Electric)

The Model 1500E is identical to the Model 1400 in all respects with the exception of the provision of an electric motor driven pump for powered operation.  The electric motor requires 117 volt, single phase, 60 Hz power at 8 amps.  The table has been designed for use in non-flammable anesthetizing locations.  In the event of power or equipment failure, the table retains full operational capability through the manual pump.
